African Drum Workshops
David can cater for approx 30 children per session and includes authentic West African music and instruments.
West African Music Workshops
This newest addition to our workshop services includes Sekou Kompo from Guinea Conakry working alongside David to create a memorable musical adventure.

The authentic percussion instruments were a real treat! The children and staff appreciated all the hard
work that you obviously put into the planning so that all of the 120 pupils were included. We have now
confidently moved onto our own compositions and are following the whole thing up with an African art project."

This type of workshop includes other acoustic African instruments like the Balafon,
Gongoma,
Krin and Bolon,
As well as having a "hands on" experience of the instruments, the children will participate in an African vocal piece alongside David and Sekou.
Other Tuition
Djembe, Djuns, Krin, Vocals and Balafon tuition is available for the following;
⋅ Schools, colleges, community groups etc
⋅ One off, 2hr workshops focussing on West African Percussion basics, emphasis is on fun and team work.
⋅ Weekly developmental workshops for existing drum groups like SMADP, who wish to add technique and material to their repertoire.
⋅ One to one tution for the serious student.
